"CITYSCAPE" TABLE LAMP 1960's PAUL EVANS
DESIGN:
A classic yet futuristic Modern polished Brass & Walnut column base table lamp manufactured by Laurel lighting designs circa 196o's and highly reminiscent of Paul Evans "Cityscape" aesthetic with its grid-like composition of contrasting materials. This sculptural form is highlighted by brilliant polished Brass panels contrasted by rich Walnut veneer panels creating a checkerboard grid pattern.
Complete with contemporary large Cream Linen shade which compliments the sculpture perfectly while casting the ideal light upon the profound surface, original solid brass cube finial still intact.
CONDITION
:
This stunning Mid Century Modern sculptural lamp is in exceptional condition, completely intact and fully functional. The deep Walnut and gleaming Brass base shows no obvious signs of wear with just some very faint surface marks
. That said there is a faint corner edge blem on top back and short edge hairline crack on the bottom back corner base - both shown in last 2 pics but mostly unnoticable and noted for accuracy. The large Cream Linen fabric shade is contemporary  and perfect. The 3 way socket, switch and power cord are original and have been inspected and are clean, safe and functional. Laurel manufactures label fully intact on socket housing

The lamps general dimensions are 36" tall with an overall width of 6" to the base, the shade is 18" diameter X 11" high…bulb is NOT included.
