ARNART HARVEST COLLECTION TUREEN SET
This auction features a complete vintage Arnart Garden Harvest Sunflower Tureen from the 1960's or 70's. The detail work on this set is gorgeous and features a great big, happy sunflower on the lid. The under plate can double as a platter and research shows few have survived with the tureen.
The tureen (including the sunflower lid) measures approximately 10 inches tall by 13 inches long (including handles) by 9 inches wide. The under plate measures 14 inches long by 11 inches wide by 11 inches tall. The manufacturer’s mark is stamped underneath the bowl and the under plate and a foil sticker is still attached to the bowl. The exteriors are beautifully hand painted, the interiors and the ladle are plain white, and all four pieces are gloss glazed.
This hard to find porcelain tureen set is in excellent condition with only one very small chip to one leaf edge (easily touched up or over looked). There is also an acceptable manufacturer paint blemish under the glaze on the lid near the ladle hole. It is perfect for serving stews, soups and other meals year round, then it can be proudly displayed as a centerpiece in your stoneware collection.
