Description

A rare red/pink and white transferware tureen with pearlware glaze in the shape of a flower head, likely made in Staffordshire ca 1810. .
Fair condition, wear consistent with age and use. Some tight hairline and spider glaze line to the underside of the bowl, one chip to one handle, two chips to the lid one to the finial, nibbles/chips around the ring of lid. It is 8” wide including handles, 5” deep, 6 1/2” tall with lid. No maker's marks to base.
