The versatility of the Mafell KSS 40 18M BL Cross-Cutting system means that it can be used as a cross-cut saw, plunge-cut saw, shadow gap saw or conventional portable circular saw.
Features
Compact brushless motor is extremely durable, efficient and maintenance-free.
The quick-release catch enables you to detach the machine from the rail in a single, quick action. The saw can then be used as a separate portable circular unit with all the functionality of the Mafell K series.
With a cutting depth of 40mm on the rail, virtually all sawing tasks arising during on-site assembly work can be executed – and in keeping with immaculate Mafell quality standards to boot.
One stop is fixed while the other can be adjusted exactly thanks to the large-scale markings – for precise angle cuts.
High performance 18V lithium-ion battery technology achieves superb cutting quality.
The battery is processor-controlled and automatically monitors all the relevant parameters such as charge and temperature.
The battery charge indicator is located on the side of the battery and can be viewed at any time by pressing a button.
Flexi-guide FX 140 permits precise, guided cuts up to 1.4 m long and can simply be rolled up and stowed compactly in the MAFELL T-Max case.
The KSS40 offers all benefits of five saws in a single case since it can be used as a crosscut saw, plunge-cut saw, shadow gap saw and portable circular saw with or without the Flexi-Guide.

Making cross or rip cuts, rail-guided cuts, mitre or compound mitre cuts at angles up to 45°, or even plunge cuts.
With cutting depths of up to 42mm, the KSS 40 covers up to 80% of the applications arising on sites and ensures clean cuts, with the accustomed high MAFELL performance.
Compatible materials include board materials, doors, worktops, parquet and laminate flooring, solid wood.
