    Description

    Large Elegant Antique Meissen Hand Painted Botanical Covered Tureen
    14½” l x 9¼“ w 10½“ h, c. early-
    mid 19th century.
    Oval with indented edges & deep molded shell shape handles & twist finial.
    Gilt highlights & edges.
    Un-glazed flat bottom with blue crossed sword mark of the Royal Manufactory Meissen used from 1814-1860.  Rontgen marks 1553-1567 show variations by hand.
    Clean bright condition but with an old professional repair to one handle which has been hand gilt over- decorated on the exterior of the handle, & a small rim edge chip repair. No cracks or hairlines.
