soup tureen is a hard to find piece. This lovely item is in
Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage.
The pattern is lovely and completely intact.  The soup tureen does have some age related crazing which is common with this pattern.
THERE ARE NO HAIRLINES.  PLEASE CHECK OUR PHOTOS. The pictures are good and show the condition.  The red backstamp was introduced in 1913 and was used for years afterward.  This lovely item was made sometime between 1931 - 1965.
DORCHESTER - Johnson Brothers (1931 - 1965)
This lovely pattern featuring red, yellow and blue flowers on a cream base was a popular choice among housewives and stayed in the line for 34 years.  The pattern is busy and features roses among a floral spray.  The decoration is incorporated into a red lacy border. Pieces of Dorchester include an array of serving pieces in addition the regular dinnerware pieces.
