    Description

JB Industries LD-6000IR AURORA® Infrared Refrigerant Leak Detector
Collisions of energetically charged particles with atoms create the light spectaculars known as “auroras,” part of the inspiration behind JB's Aurora® Leak Detector. This new leak detector puts the power of light to good use, helping you find the smallest of leaks. No longer are auroras something to just be admired because of their colors; they can now be admired for their leak detecting capabilities.
Weighing in at less than a pound, the lightweight Aurora's advanced infrared sensor has been designed and tested to discover leaks of CFC, HFC, HFO-1234YF and HCFC refrigerants accurately for more than 10 years. When a leak is detected, not only will you be visually alerted, but an alarm will also sound. The Aurora® can be set to three sensitivity levels down to 0.15 oz/year, and automatically recalibrates in highly contaminated areas to help find exactly where the leak is coming from. In addition, the sensor will not be triggered by oil or moisture so you can be confident you have precisely found a refrigerant leak. The Aurora® comes standard with an 8-hour lithium ion battery and a durable carrying case to store the unit and its accessories.
Why did we name this leak detector the "Aurora?" JB has been manufacturing equipment for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry since its inception in 1967 out of Aurora, Illinois. In 1908, the city's official motto became the "City of Lights." Aurora was one of the first American cities to install street lights, and because this infrared leak detector is our first to use the power of light, the name "Aurora" fit perfectly.
