    Product Description
Military Style Rations SOPAKCO Case of 16
These rations are the newest style made by SOPAKO packed 16 meals per case.  Unlike the old FEMA meals, these are in military packaging to retain their freshness longer.  Each meal offers an average of 900-1000 calories with a variety of Menu items with reduced sodium and contents giving what you need in an emergency.  The difference is not only the military grade packaging but the side dish that did not come with the older FEMA SOPAKCO meals.  Ration meals are great for being prepared, camping, or having some extra meals for when you need them most.

    Inspection Date
The date on Rations is the “inspection date” rather than an expiry date. The inspection date is typically three to five years after the meal was packed and they will last many years after. It’s used as a reminder for you to check that the meal’s packaging is in good condition and that there are no signs that the meal has gone bad.  Over time Rations as in all food will start to lose some of their value but the main protein will remain intact.  We have had many of our staff eat them long after any date in the field.
FEMA has stored and handled under conditions consistent with good manufacturing practice regulations, which require storage and handling conditions to protect against physical, chemical, and microbial contamination as well as against deterioration of the product and the container.
