Charming Vintage Porcelain Crab Soup Tureen Blue/white. Condition is "Used". Definitely made in China, for the collectors I did try to look up the symbol stamped on the bottom, the closest I came to it was Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi “Great Qing Qianlong Period Make.” dating to 20th century BUT DISCLAIMER the mark on this tureen is missing the double lines around the outside and that could be from wear or it’s more likely a knockoff stamped a bunch of times because there is also some ink smudges in the symbol where it should be clearer if it was hand painted. Based on the made in China sticker I would date it somewhere in the 1950’s- 1960’s but if anyone knows more I would love to learn. For the person wanting to buy it for looks- the unique crustaceans and shell pattern make a cute and unique addition to any collection! No damage except on the bottom as shown in the photos- all crab legs intact!! There is a light mark in the inside lip and some discoloration/wear and tear around the edge also (see photos) 9”W x 4.5”H (including the shrimp handle) back claw to front 7.5”
