    Description

    Here is an estate fresh, Rare Black  Version of the classic Mid-Century Modern  sculpture “SEAGULLS IN FLIGHT” by Curtis Jere -  signed on the wing C Jere, undated but surely circa 1968.  The piece is dramatic featuring sharply geometric gull forms in motion. The work is heavy, not wire or sheet metal like many Jere creations but rather welded steel construction with the early and seldom seen black finish. Everything is tight and solid, there are 2 strong hooks for hanging – the measurements are approx 58” x 21” x 8”. A handsome and classic Mid-Century sculpture – 100% authentic & genuine - never before offered to the public – the sculpture resided safely in a local Pennsylvania estate for many years.
