    Description

    This is a stunning Mid Century Modern bronze sculpture by the internationally famous artist Bijan.
    Mounted on a natural piece of marble or quartz the elegant weeping willow tree has 11 branches with each branch having 6 separate weeping shoots. In addition to the bronze branches and trunk, each shoot has copper and brass that lends it a very organic look. The trunk appears to have some gold leafing. The sculpture is signed Bijan on the base and additionally the trunk is engraved #97 of 250.
    The condition is fabulous with no missing branches or breaks. This is an entirely hand crafted and hand soldered sculpture by a renown artist. It has a beautifully aged patina. It would be a stunning addition to any home or office.
    It is a large and heavy sculpture. It measures approx 16" high and the branch spread is about 15". The base is approx 11" wide by 9" deep depending on which way you view it. It weighs approx. 17lbs.

    Born in Tehran, Iran, Bijan Masoumpanah grew up in the land of poets, art and architecture. At an early age his talent was recognized by friends and at school. At the age o f 27 he emigrated to England studying art in London for 3 years. He moved to the United Stated and continued his art education at Portland State University. Bijan has received numerous awards and has worked in the fields of graphic design, murals , painting and sculpture to name a few. He presently lives in Palm Springs California.
