What's the difference?
Nylon vs. Polyethylene:
Our Polyethylene nets,
the UV inhibitors are inside the Polymeric blend that gets extruded into the individual fibers. These fibers are twisted or braided into twine. Since the UV inhibitor is built into the fibers, it can't wear off. Polyethylene doesn't absorb water, doesn't rot, and loses very little strength year to year.
Their Nylon nets
are coated with a UV inhibitor which tends to wear off in a year or two. Nylon absorbs water, encouraging mold, mildew, and rotting. See picture above. Typically a new nylon net used outside in direct sun will lose 15% to 20% of its tensile strength each year.
All of our frame kits, the net hangs inside of the frame. Why? Because you don't want the ball bouncing off the frame & coming back and hitting you in the head.
EZ UP & DOWN Batting Cage Frame Kit was designed by us here at Jones-Sports. It is an excellent well thought out design. I think you will like it as much as we do. Save money on shipping by purchasing the poles at your local hardware store. Kit comes with everything you need to assemble except the long poles.
You will need to purchase 10' 6" poles from Menards, Lowe's, or Home Depot.

Installation Suggestions:
Use a string for alignment, and a tape measure to make sure that you get all of the Ground Sockets installed in the proper location. Also measure across the diagonals to make sure the frame is square.
