Antique Ironstone China Covered Soup Tureen 19th cent. "J & G Meakin, England"

Description

An excellent vintage 19th century white ironstone covered serving/soup tureen marked J. & G. Meakin, Ironstone china, and "V R" (Victoria Regina).  It is in excellent condition with no chips or damage or any kind. There are no cracks, chips, or staining to the piece, either base or cover. The newer white ladle is not original to the piece, but fits the size beautifully and is included. The white ironstone porcelain does it's job, displaying and serving your food without distraction.
Total size = 12 3/4" length x 8 1/4" wide.  Total height is 9 3/8".  The top opening is 10" x 7 1/4" x 4 1/4" deep.  The foot/base is 6 3/4" x 5 1/4".  It weighs 5 lbs. 8 oz.
