Super rare factory air and added dual quads!
I bought this car in California and while I don't have any history, it's apparent this was a California garaged Caddy. No evidence of any rust. Chrome and trim are all original, undercarriage is amazing.
I had found a '56 Eldo dual quad manifold and carbs, but I decided to go with modern edelbrock carbs with a super cool shotgun air cleaner. I then had it tuned with a petronicks coil and electronics, wires, and plugs, etc... The engine component was very clean, but I decided to go ahead and put in all new hoses, etc.
Then, of course, it needed a pair of Smithy's glass packs and new shocks all around. The brakes were weak so I had a complete, all new brake system installed. The transmission was starting to slip, so I also had it completely rebuilt. It's hard to find specialists to do this work today, but I coaxed a guy out of retirement for this one.
Then it was on to some cosmetics. The seat covers appear to be original and are definitely in excellent condition. I had new carpet and door sills installed along with all new side glass and a ton of new weatherstripping.
As you can see, this is a great Coupe with a lot of money spent updating it all over. Sure, you can still tinker on it if you want, but it's ready to go and have fun. I got it to this point, but my health is gone, so it's on to some lucky someone she goes.
